Rotary Club of Oban
26th Am-Am Competition - 5th June 2011

The Rotary Club of Oban held their annual Am-Am tournament on Sunday 5th June at Glencruitten Golf Club, Oban. This was the 26th Am-Am to be held at Glencruitten Golf Club, which was in superb condition, and over £6,000 was raised for local charities.

First prize and the Bank of Scotland Trophy went to Cuan Mor with a score of 118 points (BIH)
Gavin Hill, Kenny Wotherspoon, Brian MacKechnie and Skinny MacInnes.

In second place winning the Allan McDougall Trophy were Oban Memorials
Dougie MacLean, Alistair MacLean, Ian McCuish and John MacGregor.

Third place with a score of 115 and the Angus Simpson Trophy went to Glensanda
Paul Kersley, Kevin Roy, Jonathan Wills and James Scott.

Fourth place went to D & K Lafferty
Finlay O'Rourke, Michael Kelly, Charles MacIntyre and Gerry Cairney.

In fifth place were Martin's Marauders
Eric Deverill, Martin Tait, Scott Bratton and Graham Kynoch.

Leading Ladies Team were Safety Management Systems
Diane Colewell, Bunty Menassa, Peggy Logan and Christine Cameron.

Leading Visiting Team was Munro's Garage
Calum Munro, Harold Farquhar, Paul Walton and Richard Bergant.

The Orange Ball Competition was won by Dalmally 3
Scott Livingstone, James MacMillan, Graeme MacKechnie and Steven Turner, with a score of 61.


Fifty teams took part in the event, and since the tournament started 26 years ago over £120,000 have been raised for local charities.
