Christmas Card Competition 2024
The Rotary Club of Oban have run their annual Christmas Card Competition again this year with another fantastic entry from our young school pupils. The Competion is split into two age groups, P1 to P3 and P4 to P7. Judging as always has been expertly carried out by the Two Vals , Hamilton and Leckie. Once again many thanks to them for giving so freely of their time and expertise to judge the entries.
The Two Vals confirmed that the competition was of an extremely high standard again this year and very difficult to choose a winner. “Quantities of Glitter have not reduced, and it is still getting everywhere.“ said Rotarian Dot Dahl, Oban Rotary Club Youth Convenor , “I am so pleased that we have had such a good response to our competition again this year. It is very popular and such good fun; our young people are so talented. Thanks again to our fantastic judges“.

Christmas Card Competition 2023
Congratulations to the winners of the annual The Rotary Club of Oban Christmas Card Contest. The theme this year was "Santa is Coming to Town".
Olivia MacCuish from Park Primary and Mhairi Johnston of Dalmally Primary won the Junior contest and will be riding in Santa's Sleigh on Saturday 25th November.

Massive thanks to our judges "The Two Vals", Val Hamilton and Val Leckie for giving up their time and doing a brilliantly thorough job of judging and curating the winners and highly commended. Also thank you to BID4Oban and Oban Winter Festival for supporting the contest again this year and giving the kids such amazing experiences. Last but by no means least we'd like to share our heartfelt thanks to all the teachers, head teachers and administrative staff who help spread the word about our contests in their classes and schools, for getting the entries to us in time and for sharing these opportunities with their kids.
