Gambia Project
Oban Rotary adopted and brought to fruition the erection of a toilet block for 140 pupils at a school in The Gambia.
Apart from accessing appropriate materials the project required a lot of digging to enable connections to be made to electricity and sewage systems.
The completed toilets may look primitive to us but are regarded as a luxury by the schoolchildren concerned in The Gambia providing as they do basic privacy and security requirements.
