Despite Covid 19, but subject to correct procedures, Oban Rotary's golfing fraternity, along with 4 long term friends from the Borders and North East England, went ahead with their annual golf outing over the three days 23rd/25th August.

Once again the venue was Grantown on Spey although the plan was to play Boat of Garden on day two, with Kingussie on the way home on day three. Two rounds over Grantown and BoG were duly played in fine weather and a very enjoyable experience was had by all. Sadly, Kingussie was abandoned due to a very adverse weather forecast for that day but, that said, the three days were very much enjoyed by all, given the camaraderie within the group. Once again, next year is looked forward to, hopefully, against a background of normal conditions.

All concerned expressed their gratitude to Phil Monteith for his customary exemplary organisation.

Rotarians Jack Tollan and Gordon Seaton lie behind the formidable figure of Dave Mudie!

As part of its sporting activities, Oban Rotary's golf fraternity visit other courses and on 15th, 16th and 17th May this year the group, who were joined by 4 long term friends from the Borders and NE England, once again visited Grantown on Spey with the course there  being played on the first and third day.

The middle day saw the group visiting Kingussie Golf Course with all concerned particularly impressed with this course. All three days were blessed with good weather and in addition to enjoyable Golf - Pres. Iain scoring a net one at a par four! - much good fellowship was in evidence. PP Phil Monteith was thanked profusely for his continued expert organising of the event and all concerned look forward to next year.
