Lorn and Oban Healthy Options is a locally based charity which works in tandem with health professionals in the area to extend health care in the community.
People are referred to Healthy Options by GP's and other health professionals and programmes are tailored to the needs of individuals and these can be based on a variety of activities which are undertaken at home , the work place or at the the local leisure centre such as pool sessions, line dancing, bowling or even chair based exercises. The initiative, since formation in 2011, has proved to be hugely successful and the charity looks to continue and extend it's activities. Oban Rotary have agreed to support the initiative and President Graham Fraser is seen here presenting a cheque for £500 to members of LOHO at Atlantis Leisure Centre. The ultimate aim of LOHO is to achieve recognition for the Oban and Lorn area as a healthy place to live, work, raise a family and look after our elderly.
