The Oban High School Pipe Band held a concert on Thursday 12th March at the Corran Halls to raise funds for new equipment
along with the refurbishment of existing kit and the large audience was treated
to a very enjoyable evening's entertainment.
Prior to the concert, Oban
Rotary's President, Douglas Small presented the Pipe Band with a cheque for
£500 towards their fund raising and President Douglas is seen here with Past
President Ken Oxland along with some of the band members. From the back:-

In line with it's support of youth orientated activities, Oban Rotary Club contributed £500 towards OHS Pipe Band's forthcoming visit to New York to celebrate "Tartan Day" which is now becoming an annual event.
Rotary President, Iain Mac Intyre is seen here handing over the cheque to Emma Hill who is a leading member of the OHS Pipe Band which operates under the tutelage of world famous piper, Angus MacColl.
As part of Oban Rotary's support of local youth orientated activities President Graham Fraser is seen here presenting OHS Pipe Band with a cheque for £500 as a donation towards their running costs.
The OHS Pipe Band plays every Wednesday evening, throughout the summer months, in support of Oban's visitor attractions.
Funds donated by Oban Rotary to local good causes come, for the most part, from their annual golf Am-Am fundraiser.
